$89,000 is a real decision. These answer the questions worth asking first, including the ones about us.
Guides
Questions.
How much does the Career Track cost?
The training program is $89,000 from zero experience: all 282 hours of training time through your CFII and multi-engine rating (204 single-engine, 25 multi-engine and 53 simulator), all of your one-on-one instruction, and your study materials and training portal. Examiner (DPE) fees, FAA written test fees and equipment like your headset are not included. The Work with us add-on is $15,000 on top: a 25-hour instructor bootcamp, then a guaranteed 175 hours of paid instructing at $30 per flight-training hour. Already soloed? Take $14,000 and 43 single-engine hours off. Already hold your private license? Take $22,400 off, plus 78 single-engine hours and the PPL certificate credited.
What is not included in the price?
Three things are paid separately: FAA examiner (DPE) fees for your checkrides, FAA written test fees, and personal equipment like your headset. We schedule and coordinate every checkride and prep you for every written exam; the fees themselves go directly to the examiner and the testing center. Your flight time, one-on-one instruction, study materials and the training portal are all in the program price.
What is the Work with us add-on?
Work with us is our optional instructor phase, a $15,000 add-on to the program. After your CFII and multi-engine rating, a 25-hour bootcamp led by our experienced instructors prepares you to teach, then you instruct the next generation of students for a guaranteed 175 hours, paid $30 per flight-training hour, while we keep your schedule full across Southern California. It is not for everyone, but if teaching your way to the airlines is your path, it is the fastest way to build real hours and get paid doing it.
How long does the Career Track take?
About nine months full time from your first lesson to your CFII and multi-engine rating. Add Work with us and the instructor phase runs about nine more: the bootcamp, then paid instructing to a minimum of 480 total hours by month 18. Training part time around a job stretches the training phase; because instruction is one on one, the pace is set by your schedule, not a class calendar.
How do I graduate with 480 hours?
In three blocks, with the Work with us add-on. Training puts 282 hours in your logbook: 204 single-engine, 25 multi-engine and 53 in the simulator. Then a 25-hour instructor bootcamp, led by our experienced instructors, prepares you to teach safely and effectively. Then you instruct the next generation of students for a guaranteed 175 more hours, paid $30 per flight-training hour, and every hour taught is an hour logged. That is a minimum of 480 total hours by graduation, with room for more if you bring in students of your own.
What certificates and ratings are included?
Six: the private pilot license, the instrument rating, the commercial pilot license in both single-engine and multi-engine, CFI and CFII. Combined with the instructor phase, that is professional certificates plus real-world, paid teaching experience on the way to the 1,500 hours the airlines require.
Is the paid instructing guaranteed?
Yes, as part of the Work with us add-on. Once you complete your training and hold the required certificates, 175 hours of paid instructing at $30 per flight-training hour are guaranteed. Day-to-day scheduling still depends on student demand, weather and aircraft availability, so the pace varies, but the hours are yours. And 175 is the floor, not the ceiling: recruit students of your own and every extra hour is paid the same.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Our lending partner Stratus Financial, founded by FAA certificated flight and ground instructors, offers full financing for your entire flight training and more, with affordable payment options including a 12 month deferment while you complete training and find a job. You can pay the loan off any time with no consequences or penalties, and they look beyond the typical FICO score, at you as a whole aviator.
Do I need any experience to start?
None. The program is built for zero-time students; the discovery flight is lesson one. Already flying? A completed solo takes $14,000 and 43 single-engine hours off the program (239 training hours instead of 282). A private pilot license takes $22,400 off and credits 78 single-engine hours plus the PPL certificate itself (204 training hours).
How does this compare to ATP?
ATP's Airline Career Pilot Program is the benchmark, and their published zero-experience price is $123,995 or more for around 282 hours. Our program covers the same 282 hours for $89,000, which is $34,995 less. Add Work with us for $15,000 and the paths split: their program ends at certification and instructing afterward is a separate job, while our instructor phase is guaranteed and runs to a minimum of 480 hours, every hour past certification in a real airplane. Instead of paying separately to build hundreds of hours after your certificates, you build them teaching and earning $30 an hour.
What happens after I finish? Do you guarantee an airline job?
No school can honestly guarantee an airline job, and we will not pretend to. What we offer is the proven path: with the Work with us add-on you graduate with a minimum of 480 hours and months of paid teaching experience, and you can keep instructing at $30 per flight-training hour while we send you students. Every hour taught counts toward the 1,500-hour airline minimum, and our career support helps with your resume, logbook and interviews along the way.
How much do airline pilots make?
The median US airline pilot wage was $226,600 in May 2024 per the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and the contracts signed across the industry since 2023 pushed senior major-airline captains past $400,000. You start earning much sooner than that: the Work with us instructor phase pays $30 per flight-training hour from month ten, while you build toward the 1,500 hours the airlines require. With Boeing projecting 674,000 new pilots needed worldwide through 2045, the demand is not going anywhere.
Do you offer housing?
Yes. We offer student housing for $1,300 a month, close to the airport and shared with other pilot students, so you live with people training for the same writtens and checkrides. Housing is an optional add-on, paid monthly and separate from the program price; ask about availability when you get started.
Where do you train?
Southern California, with bases across Orange County and the Inland Empire including Long Beach, Corona and Riverside. Year-round flying weather, the busiest airspace in the country and coastline, mountains and desert within an hour. Train here and you can fly anywhere.
