Requirements
- You must be between 16 and 25 years old.
- You must show financial need.
- You must be working on a flight rating or endorsement that supports a career as a pilot.
- You must be a citizen or resident of the United States or Canada, or be eligible to study or work there.
- You need one non-relative character reference to finish an online recommendation.
- The money must be used by March 1 after the year you are awarded.
How to apply
- Wait for the application to open on October 1, 2026.
- Fill out the single EAA flight training scholarship application online.
- Name one non-relative character reference and ask them to finish the recommendation before the deadline.
- Submit the application by December 19, 2026.
- Watch for an email with the result on or shortly after March 2.
