- Where the money works
- Any flight schoolFunds can be used at any flight training school in the United States or Canada that is not a university program, and EAA mails the check to the school.

- Multi-engine, Flight instructor
Requirements
- The award supports a CFI, CFII or MEI rating.
- Your career goal should be flight instructor or designated pilot examiner.
- Past EAA Ray Aviation Scholarship recipients and Young Eagles participants get preference.
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You must be a citizen or resident of the United States or Canada, or eligible to work or study there.
- Funds must be used by March 1 following the year of the award.
How to apply
- Wait for the application to open on October 1, 2026.
- Fill out the single EAA application, which is considered for every scholarship you qualify for.
- Give the name of a non relative character reference so they get the recommendation link.
- Submit everything before the December 19 deadline, since late or incomplete applications are not accepted.
