Requirements
- Must be serving now in good standing or have served in one of the eight federal uniformed services with a discharge other than dishonorable.
- Must hold an aviation medical certificate, first class for a career track and third class otherwise.
- Must have access to a flight training facility, equipment and an instructor.
- Must have transportation and schedule room to fly lessons weekly.
- Needs a copy of the DD-214 or service record with the Social Security number blacked out.
- Needs a letter of recommendation and a professional resume.
- Prior criminal history is not automatically disqualifying but each application is reviewed in full.

- Collect your DD-214 or service record, a letter of recommendation and a resume.
- Between January 1 and February 28, fill out the form at apply.stripestobars.org.
- Upload every supporting document with your application.
