Requirements
- You must be a high school student.
- The award is for primary certification, meaning a sport, recreational, or private pilot certificate.
- You must be a current AOPA member living in the US, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands.
- You must finish your flight training within 12 months of the award date.
How to apply
- Join AOPA, which is free for high school students.
- Create an account in the AOPA Foundation application system.
- Fill out the one general application, which matches you to every award you qualify for.
- Upload your transcript and references and submit before the round closes.
